So I totally dreamed that I met Edward Cullen last night. Wow it was frightening. Weird thing is… It was Edward, but he didn’t look a thing like Robert Pattinson. Nor did he sparkle even though it was daylight. Hmm. Maybe it wasn’t Edward. Maybe it was an Edward impersonator. How should I know? Oh, because it was my dream. Right. Um… Anyhow… Moving right along…
Diddleydiddleydoodah….
I’m reading Ivy right now, and the cover looks suspiciously like Miley Cyrus’s one scandalous photo. Speaking of Miley Cyrus, the Hannah Montana movie is about to come out. Anyone going to see it? I’m not going to spend money on a ticket, but if someone else wants to pay for me, I’ll go for the laughs. Sorry, but I can’t really take her seriously. Sometimes, when she sings, she sounds like she’s been smoking for the last several years. And I really just cannot forgive her for singing “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” No excuse. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever.
Have you ever really thought about the clicky noise the keyboard makes when you type. It’s oddly comforting, I think. I mean, when I’m rambling away like this, the keys just keep going and going and going. If I pause for thought, they stop suddenly, and that jars me. I’m like, “Whoa! Where’s the noise.”
Clickety click click.
My goodness, this is the most unprofessional blog there ever was. I randomly interject “diddleydiddleydoodah” and “clickty click click.” And this is the blog of an aspiring writer… I suppose that there’s no excuse for me either. But I have more of an excuse than Miley Cyrus. I didn’t attempt to sing and therefore ruin one of the most awesome songs ever.
I have a confession. I really like that Demi Lovato song “Don’t Forget.” I’ve been singing that and “White Horse” for the past week. What? So maybe I’ve been in the mood for sad songs. I mean, I love “Love Story” and all, but right now songs like that make me want to gag. Yay Juliet. Your Romeo knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and asked you to marry him. He even got your daddy’s permission. You get to wear a white dress. Right. Good for her. But not all of us get to sit in a tower in a gorgeous dress and have some handsome guy walk out of the woods and give aforementioned romantic speech. And where the heck did Taylor Swift get a balcony of summer air? That’s what I want to know. Did you ever wonder why Juliet’s daddy gave permission for her to marry her Romeo? Maybe Romeo threatened him at gunpoint. Muahaha. Anyhow as I was saying about how not all of us get to sit in a tower in a gorgeous dress. It’s true. Most people have cause to say “I’m not your princess, this ain’t a fairy tale…” Just sayin’. Look, I am a total romantic. I really am. Which is why I love “Love Story.” But the romantic side of me has taken a vacation. It’s probably a good thing I’m not writing then. With my romantic side on vacation, I could very well kill off in love people. Actually, the idea is rather tempting right now. I can see it now.
Jace and Caia are locked in a passionate embrace. Jess plucks Jace away and drops him in a vat of boiling oil. The end.
…
Yeah, it’s probably a good thing I’m not writing right now.

Okay, I have to say, that “snippet” made me laugh.
Oh, Jess… I am worried now.
I was just thinking about Jace and Caia today though.
It made me laugh to write it, Q.
You should be worried, Delaney. Very, very worried.
But I’m glad someone thinks of them. Can’t say I have been a whole lot lately except to read a scene of theirs out loud.
haha i wondered the same thing! if juliet’s dad didn’t want romeo around, why in the world would he say, ‘oh, ok. take my very young daughter away from me, and go get married. i understand now.” right…
Sad songs make me happy. I’ve never heard Don’t Forget, but White Horse is awesome.
No, most people don’t have I always thought it was a balcony in summer air, though.
Um… that comment wasn’t really done, it just submitted itself.
What I was saying was that most people don’t have a tower and a gorgeous dress and a guy walking out of the woods, but it sure would be nice. It’s kind of what I’m hoping for.
Do you want a reason to kill me?
Because-I liked her cover. Like more than the original.
Lovely snippet, my dear. I always thought Love Story was kinda funny/cute/sweet. And a bit weird.
White Horse…it’s good. I don’t like Taylor Swift’s music, but I think she has a fun and spunky personality. It’s all right.
^ Agrees with Maribeth. Although I’ve been afraid to tell you that
And I understand the need for non-romanticness. But I still think you should be writing
Yay Danielle!
At least I have a partner in “crime”!
I don’t get Lvoe Story. It makes no sense and all of a sudden throwing in “I was a scarlet letter” made no sense. Stick to the one story, please.
I love the sound of keys. It’s my favorite sound and it sounds so professional that you can say clickety click click and it doesn’t sound stupid.
That is totally what I first thought about the cover of Ivy.
