Well, well, well, what have we here? July 23, 2008

I’ve been a Josh Groban fan for approximately seven years. (I’ve also been in love with Mr. Darcy for about seven years. What can I say? My mother started me off young.) So where did my love for Josh Groban start. Well, I was nine years old and in the car with my mother and older sister. My mother was driving, my sister was in the front seat playing with the radio, and I was (go figure) reading in the back. My older sister finally left the radio alone and left it on one station. We heard a song beginning. It was sounding quite beautiful. We were ever so intrigued. Then…The opening lines of the song.
“Who can say for certain
Maybe you’re still here
I feel you all around me
Your memory so clear.”
I swooned. My mother swooned. My sister swooned. We had to find out who this voice belonged to. After the song, someone on the radio said it was Josh Groban. Two days later, my mother went to Borders. She came home with a CD entitled “Josh Groban.” It had a young looking guy on it, and he had dark curly hair. While we fell in love with the CD, we were sad that there was no other. It wasn’t until 2003 that we got our hands on “Closer.” Then “Awake” in 2006. Then “With You” and “Noel” in 2007. So that’s how it all began for me. But did it stop there? Oh, no. I joined LRRH and learned there were Josh fans there. I learned the art of converting to Grobanism. Some people refused to listen but eventually gave in and are now obsessed. (You know who you are.) Others still flat out refuse to listen. (You know who you are.) Others listened and remained unmoved. (You know who you are.)
Am I obsessed? Yes. Yes, I am. And I’m proud of it.

Okay, so I know I did this last time. But I can’t help myself. I have to do it again. This is just too perfect an opportunity. I inspected Stephenie Meyer’s website for a second time to read the Breaking Dawn quotes, and then I saw this:
Edward: “Oops.”
Do you seriously think that I could read that and not come up with a list of possible reasons he might’ve said that?
1. This could be what he said when he attempted to change Bella but ended up killing her instead. (I’ve got to say that I love this reason.)
2. Or perhaps his speeding got the better of him and he crashed Alice’s Porsche. (I pity him for he shall have the full force of Alice’s wrath. I’m sure she could find something to do to him.)
3. It could be that this is the first thing that came out of his mouth when Bella caught him kissing Tanya. (I didn’t know Edward was a two-timer. Oooh…)
4. Possibly it’s his reaction when his sparkly skin, amazing breath, smoldering eyes, and crooked smile knocked Bella off a cliff. (It’s Bella we’re talking about. Of course she would do that.)
5. It probably slipped out of his mouth when he found out that Emmett and Jasper recorded him when he said that Kristin Stewart is so much hotter than Bella. (He also said that Robert Pattison could seriously use some tweezers.)

EDIT: Anilee informed me of the latest quote on SM’s website. It ires me greatly. But I cannot resist.
Edward: “Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.”
Bella: Eeeehhh, can you hire Josh instead?
Edward: Who?
Bella: The most swoonerific singer in the world. Your looks nor your voice can even compare to him. You pale in comparison.
Edward: *thinks to self* It might be time to reconsider this whole not feeding on humans thing. Josh Groban must be stopped.
Two days later, Edward was foiled in his attempt to remove Josh. It is rumored that Jane caught wind of his plan and finished off Edward herself. She could not bear the thought of a world without the wonder that is Josh Groban. (She did, however, quite enjoy the thought of a world without the horror that is Edward Cullen. {Especially that EW cover.})

Yes. We know who we are. And we are jealous. Extremely jealous.
Anyway…
lol about the Edward list. How many of those do you think are possiblities?
Haha….when I read that line in Breaking Dawn, I’ll think of your list and crack up. I especially like number one. *evil laugh*
Five is my total favorite. Then four
*Seriously can’t stop the swoons*
I KNEW you were going to post about that line, and I was uber excited. I love your reasons.
Speaking of, I love how you mention Josh’s dark curly hair. *swoons*
Anyway…
Did you see the quote of the day for 23.7? Edward: “Do you want me to sing to you? I’ll sing all night if it will keep the bad dreams away.”
I feel like crying. Edward better not be able to sing well.
They’re all possibilities, Anilee dear. All possibilities.
*joins Bee with the evil laughter*
4 creates a hysterical mental image for me, Faith.
Wow, Rebecca. You’ve fallen pretty hard for Josh. It took, like, nothing for Anilee to convert you.
You KNEW, Q. I’m glad I didn’t disappoint then.
*swoons as well*
No, I didn’t see that, Anilee. And grrr. If Edward can sing well, I will refuse to read anything SM again. I will even refuse to read The Host even though I own it and everyone is saying that it’s worth owning.
Ooooh, but thanks for that quote. I need to edit this blog post now… Hang on…
I guess they’re all possiblities…but the likelihood…
And aren’t I a great converter?
Of course Edward will probably be able to sing well.
And I’m reading The Host; I’m currently bored with it, though I think it’s better written than the Twilight series.
And oh my gosh! I just read the edit. Totally hysterical! Yay for Jane! Yay for Edward being dead!
ahahahaha..loved the edit.
I love the edit. Totally.
And Anilee is a totally amazing onverter. Swoon…
Ahhh. Josh! *silly smile*
OH MY GOSH! I was laughing so much. This was really funny.
*Holding in laughter*
Great story!
Oh, wow. People love my story. I didn’t think anyone would really say anything since I came up with it in about five minutes.
Anyway, thanks guys. You’re great blog readers. I’m honestly tempted to post it on ff.net.
What’s that?
